In December we visited children at the Tygerberg Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa with our friends at the Reach for a Dream foundation with a mission to put smiles on their faces. Children with life-threatening conditions gathered at the hospital's playground to enjoy a surprise Christmas party.
The children were thrilled by amazing magic tricks and the jokes from the entertainer from the Reach for a Dream foundation. The party continued with fun games and the chance to enjoy the sunny weather and play with each other and the foundation volunteers.
And then, it was time for presents! Each child received a gift bag full of delicious treats together with colouring books and markers, toys, and other things to brighten up their days. We also gave toy animals to the youngest among them.
Experiences like these are crucial reminders to these children that they are loved that help them stay strong through the exhausting battle with their illness. XM continues its monthly donations to the Reach for a Dream foundation to fill their days with moments of joy and laughter and encourage children to never stop dreaming big. We are grateful to the Reach for a Dream foundation and other our long-term partners for giving us an opportunity to give back to the less fortunate this Christmas.
