XM was co-sponsor at Africa's biggest horse racing of the year – The Hollywoodbets in Greyville, Durban, South Africa in July 2022.
A crowd of over 35,000 attended the 12-race festival and enjoyed a fantastic day of high-quality racing.
Our congratulations to all the winners on the day and especially to the winner of our race, the XM MR 86 Handicap which was won by Snow Palace and ridden by Smanga Khumalo. Prizes for the victory were presented to the owners Dr M Taljaardt and Messrs R P Macnab and X Spies, and the winning groomer Motseki Ranowa as well as the successful jockey during the televised event.
Another highlight of the day was the fashion theme 'Show me the honey' which encouraged many of the attendees to dress up to compete for the title of most innovative outfit that was also presented on the day.
We'd like to thank the race organisers for putting on such an amazing event and to everyone there who created such an exciting atmosphere.
