Every child facing cancer shows remarkable courage, strength, and resilience.
To mark International Childhood Cancer Day, XM joined forces with kindergartens in Cyprus and Greece to create handmade superhero capes for children undergoing treatment. Through this initiative, we wanted to celebrate the young heroes who face each day with determination and bravery.
The capes were created in collaboration with The Montessorians and Junior Faros and donated to the Marianna V. Vardinoyannis - ELPIDA Children's Oncology Unit and Makarios Hospital. Each cape carried a simple but meaningful message: every child deserves to feel supported, encouraged, and empowered throughout their journey.
While small in size, these handmade gifts represented a collective effort of care and solidarity from the local community. They also served as a reminder that even simple acts of kindness can bring moments of joy and encouragement to children and families facing difficult circumstances.
Through initiatives like this, we hope to continue supporting causes that bring comfort, hope, and positivity to those who need it most, while recognising the extraordinary strength shown by young heroes every day.
