XM made a charity donation to the Filipino non-government organisation Childhope with the aim to support its humanitarian mission.
Hundreds of thousands of children live in the streets in the Philippines, many of them abandoned and in utmost poverty in Metropolitan Manila. With constant efforts to protect children's rights and make a difference to the life quality of juveniles whose only source of livelihood are the streets, XM donated money to Childhope to help distribute hygiene kits, food, medicine, and other necessities to those in need.
While poverty rates are rapidly reaching staggering numbers and child neglect remains a serious problem, every humanitarian action matters. Raising awareness and contributing to charity organisations' efforts to protect children's right remains in the focus point of the XM corporate social responsibility.
