In October 2022, XM funded the prawning event hosted by Singapore Red Cross for children from low-income families as part of the Young Hearts Enrichment Programme.
Children spent a wonderful day catching and grilling prawns with their families at ORTO, the largest prawning facility in Singapore surrounded by a beautiful park with tropical greenery, beds of colourful shrubs, and a scenic lake. Family time was filled with fun, laughter, and smiles on little faces.
Diverse life experiences play a major role in personality formation. By making them more accessible, Red Cross supports social and emotional resilience of vulnerable families who would otherwise miss out on activities like these. And more importantly, it contributes to children's cognitive development to let them break the cycle of intergenerational poverty.
Like Singapore Red Cross, we believe that no one should suffer. XM is determined to continue supporting projects and organizations which fight poverty, hunger, and other humanitarian issues across the world.
